  1. You have a great voice! Thanks for this info. I’ve actually done keto several times in the past. Yes I lost weight but the lure of carbs was too much for me! Also, my consumption of vegs was very low. So I was not doing it in a healthy way.

  2. I’m not even that worried about weight loss; that’s a secondary benefit. I want the feeling of higher energy one heard about. I’m tired (haha) of feeling sluggish all day every day

  3. Hi. I want to do keto but it’s not to lose weight. I have 25 BMI so can lose a couple of kg but mostly want to improve my health. BP and Cholesterol.

  4. Started today
    Thank you for this video
    Keeping quiet about it
Need to find help for the fatigue so off the Walmart see if I can find an easy powder
My reason is our predisposition to heart attack and inflammation
    Cheers
    Here goes

  5. I have tried the electrolytes that you mix in water and I really can’t stand the taste!! So I purchase magnesium Glycinate capsules and potassium capsules. I actually take more than the milligrams in electrolyte products. I also use Redman’s real salt in my foods. Sometimes if I get a craving I will put some salt in my hand and lick it up which helps with my occasional cravings.
Check the amounts of electrolytes in any given product so you know how to gage the amount of capsules of each to take.
IMHO, I think the capsules are cheaper by far!!!

  6. Oh also, a tip you might’ve added: If you get constipated on keto, chia seed pudding with inulin (I use 10 grams) and sweetener of your choice is a good breakfast or dessert that’s solved that for me, and should for most people. You can flavor it all kinds of ways and the base, chia seeds and inulin, have zero net carbs. The thing that people usually need in that case is soluble fiber (water absorbing fiber that helps keep your stool soft). The vegetables we rely on for keto are mostly insoluble (roughage type fiber). Soaked chia seeds are also mucilaginous, which helps things along as well.

  7. Can’t agree more! Listen to this man. Master your cravings for snacks, keto or otherwise and you’ll see the results including saving money.

  8. I just started back on keto and I make keto peanut butter cookies.. I eat probably 2 a day, after breakfast and after dinner. Do you think that’s ok?

  9. We find Celtic Salt is an excellent benefit. It has many minerals we need to be healthy. We favor it over other packaged electrolytes.

  10. Hit the nail on the head
The food pyramid has me prediabetic and with fatty liver disease . That scenario is going to change . Down 23lbs so a
Far with another 76lbs to go .

  11. Hey steve im around 13 years old 237 pounds and 5’11, im just starting keto like today. Youre videos are helping me so much

  12. Good morning
    greetings from.Massachusetts
I received a letter from my Dr to stay clear of desserts(diabetes runs in my family)
although I thought I was eating healthy this letter was a wake up call
    I turned 60 this year
    so here I am
thank you for the begginers videos

  13. A lot of great commercial breads exist now, too. They might not be as good as the chaffle for ketosis, but they’re a damn sight better than regular bread if you don’t have the time or energy to make homemade and clean up the whole mess it’s going to be. I love grilled cheese and I have the nature’s own keto bread for that. I try not to eat it a lot, but sometimes you just need a good sandwich, and these big food companies are great at weird food science. Like you say, don’t get into dogmatic stuff, and do what works for you. If the commercial keto breads raise your blood glucose a few points, that’s better than raising it 20-50 points with regular bread, and even if it breaks you out of ketosis, you’re still going to be back in much faster.

  14. Steve. Man, I wish I had found your channel sooner. I have been doing Keto about 2 months now and I’m down 22 lbs. I totally agree about not listening and trying to juggle 10 different people’s opinion on Keto. It not only confuses you, but it stalls your progress because you keep shifting your food intake, so you don’t know what is working and what is not.

I am in the situation where my husband is not doing Keto with me. However, being diabetic, I went cold turkey in removing all carbs and sugar from my diet. Completely! I haven’t had any carbs or even replacement sweets in 2 months. I am reversing my diabetes so I can get off medication.

    Great advice. Thanks for sharing.

  15. My current heart doctor is not opposed to ketp at all. I think you should discuss it with them. That way they can witness the results. he also stopped my statin from my primary. Not all doctors are created equal.

  16. I just finished with my doctor and he recommended your channel. Im pre diabetic. So he suggested going on keto. Im already on a diet. But id prefer something thatll actually help. Hes told me other countries have around an 80% rate of helping out type 2 diabetics to not become insulin dependant. I love those numbers. So here i am. Ready to learn.

  17. Leave Keto Bread alone. it will stall you. I understand as much as anyone how much you miss a sandwich. I get it. But, if losing weight, lots of it, is your focus, leave that stuff alone. Forget Keto snacks and sweets with artificial sweeteners too. When you reach your goal, then you can have them. But they can really make you crave. it’s not about being a Keto Nazi, it’s about helping ourselves win the prize we hope to gain. I have yoyo’ed so many times because I didn’t do this. There is something in our brain, that tells us, I’m different, I can do things others can’t and still win. That is called cheating. it doesn’t work. We’re obese, bevcause we were and can still be out of control. That is reality. It’s up to you. No one can force you, or even reason with you, if you don’t want it bad enough. Our worst enemy is us, not the food. That’s being real.

  18. do you ever eat real bread or cake? Been doing keto on an off for years in family of normal eaters. Lost 50 to 70 pounds couple times. really love to bake and to eat desert. Is there a way to work small amounts of the real stuff in and not fall apart. Funny that after 20 years now my wife and daughter are doing low carb too. after 20 years of busting on me for it. I have never felt the so called keto flu. My ketones are about 10-12mmol/ltr currently.

  19. Yes I need strict and it’s going to be a religion. I’m doing it for health and weight. I have lipedema and thyroid nodules and borderline diabetic and am 70lbs overweight.

  20. This is the most awful diet in the world. If you want to feel like you’re in hell and there is nothing to live for then on this diet. It is a most miserable experience.

  21. just wanted to say after two months food becomes so unimportant in your life a good keto breakfast may mean you do not need to eat again that day as you have no hunger, After a while when all your cravings have gone you eat just what you need,

  22. For me, I’ve found that I can go up to 50g net carbs, but I need to keep protein at 50g max. Every time I eat 50g+ or 70g or more of protein, it throws me out of ketosis, which I don’t have up to 50g net carbs if my protein is under 50g.

    Greetings Manu🤘

  23. Free apps to help with your keto journey. MyFitnessPal for tracking macros, very easy to use and has tons of customizable features. Happy Scale for daily weight, easy to use and helps track your true weight which is your moving average. Thanks for another great video.
